The mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family's ability to pay. We raised a little over $240 in donations in July 2023. It is important to our team that we continue to be engaged in the community and provide what we can to help give back. It means even more to us that our amazing patients here at Forest Trail, always love to participate and help our office make a difference in the community.
November 2023 Forest Trail partnered with "Helping Hand Ministry" in Belton TX to help raise food for our local food pantry. The " Food For Families" drive is a community project supported by KWTX (news station), HEB, Operation Feeding Temple, Baylor Scott & White and many local organizations. This was the first year Forest Trail participated in this specific event, and we plan to make this an annual event. It was very rewarding to see so many businesses and organizations in the community dropping off their donations when we were there. Our patients helped the office collect over 276 lbs. of food.
Lighthouse Family Network is a local Christian foster care agency in Salado, TX. For the past three years Forest Trail collected school supplies/donations and would take them to several elementary schools in the community. Summer of 2023 Forest Trail partnered with Lighthouse Family Network for the first-time for "Back to school". It meant so much to the team at Forest Trail to see how many patients brought in donations and supplies, so we were able to get the kiddos ready for another year of success.
December 2023 Forest Trail partnered with Lighthouse Family Network, a local Christian foster care agency in Salado TX. Our team members and amazing patients worked together and were able to make dreams come true for all the children who are in foster care. We were able to purchase most items on all the kids’ lists and brighten their holiday!
December' 2023 was the first year we participated in the Belton Parade, and we had a BLAST! Our families joined us in handing out "dental goodie bags", small toys, office SWAG and yummy treats! We even had Mr. Grinch stop by and join us. We plan to make this an annual event.
